The college basketball season is coming soon now that teams have opened practice this week.
For the Kentucky Wildcats, this hopes to be another memorable season that ends in a deep postseason run. After all, Kentucky has made it to the Elite Eight or further in eight of the 10 seasons under John Calipari, and there’s plenty of reason to believe this year’s team will make it nine.
Speaking of nine, this could the year Kentucky finally gets back to the Final Four and win the school’s ninth national title. While it remains to be seen just how good this team will be, Swaggy Cal is excited to get started:
Walking in to our 1st practice and excited about the possibilities, but more excited to work with a great group of young people. They have a desire to improve themselves & to WIN.— John Calipari (@UKCoachCalipari) September 27, 2019
Every day, I look at a sign on my wall in big, bold letters that says, “Coach your team”.
Kentucky is viewed as a top-five team in the majority of preseason rankings. The Wildcats also have the second-best odds to win the 2020 NCAA Tournament, according to Bovada.
But regardless of how the season ends, the journey will be a fun one.
