For the first time since 2013, the Kentucky Wildcats have started conference play 0-2, as they fell to Mississippi State in Starkville Saturday.
Despite the rough start to the season, starting quarterback Terry Wilson out for the season, and backup Sawyer Smith banged up, the Big Blue Nation still seems to have confidence in their team. In the latest FanPulse poll, Kentucky’s fans confidence slightly increased from a week ago despite a second straight loss.
Despite losing two in a row, the Wildcats still have a very manageable schedule with winnable games against South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, UT Martin and Louisville all yet to be played. Thus, there’s no panic from the Big Blue Nation.
This week the national polls asked fans to select the teams they felt were the most overrated. Teams to receive votes were Notre Dame, Florida, Michigan, UCF, Utah, Texas and Ohio State.
As for the national top 25 here’s how it shook out.
It’s hard to argue against any of the teams ranked as all have played well enough this season to find themselves in the top 25. It’s also no surprise that Kentucky is not included due to their struggles early on.
