The Big Blue Nation’s confidence takes a small dip after loss to Florida

Week 3 of the college football season brought all too familiar heartbreak to the Bluegrass as the Kentucky Wildcats blew an 11-point fourth-quarter lead to the No. 9 Florida Gators at Kroger Field to suffer their first loss of the season.

With the loss came a small loss of confidence from the Big Blue Nation, as after two weeks of 100% confidence, it appears a few Kentucky fans are worried about their team.

The decrease in confidence is minor as it appears roughly 90% of Kentucky fans that voted still feel like their team is in a good spot. However, the heartbreak of another brutal loss to Florida clearly did not settle well

Now 2-1 on the season and 0-1 in conference play, it comes as no surprise that the Wildcats were left out of SB Nation’s nationwide fan pulse top 25 this week.

While Kentucky being left out isn’t much of a surprise, it sure is a head-scratcher to see a Maryland Terrapins team that entered 2019 with little to no expectations and then lose to Temple in Week 3 make the top 25. However, it appears the nation is still high on the Terps.

It’s also worth noting that after Kentucky nearly knocked off the Gators Saturday Florida moved down three spots from No. 7 in last week’s fan pulse to No. 10 entering Week 4.

As for how Kentucky fans top 25 shook out, they made sure to show they believe the Gators are overrated by knocking them down several spots. The Big Blue Nation also disagreed with the nationwide poll having Maryland in the top 25. Here’s how they voted.
