Brandon Miller — the No. 11 overall player in the class of 2022 — is set to visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness next month, according to 247Sports’ Evan Daniels.
Miller is a 6-6 sophomore from Nashville, Tennessee, and he just received his first major offer this week from the Tennessee Volunteers.
The lanky small forward is the second major target in the class of 2022 that John Calipari has reached out to since the fall recruiting period opened up this week.
But, obviously, the Kentucky Wildcats aren’t the only school interested in Miller’s services. Besides an offer from the Vols, Miller has also received interest from the Ole Miss Rebels and Louisville Cardinals, whom he will unofficially visit later this month.
While it’s too early to tell who may have a leg up in his recruitment, it is significant because the Cats are getting involved early.
Besides running the floor well and finishing with ease, Miller is also an extremely gifted passer. That’s a unique trait to have for a guy of his stature and at his position.
A player with his size, ability to handle the ball and distribute, potential as a defender, and obvious versatility is going to start raking in the offers. So, it’s nice to see Coach Cal trying to get a headstart on the competition.
