Terrence Clarke is a consensus top five pick in the 2021 recruiting class. And while we may not find out if he will reclassify for several more months, we will find out today where he plans to play college basketball.
Clarke’s final list includes Kentucky, Duke, Memphis, Texas Tech, UCLA, and Boston College, and he will announce his decision at 1 p.m. EST.
Kentucky has been the favorite for quite some time, although his AAU coach has recently alluded to Duke still being in the race and having a very real shot at landing Clarke, so there’s at least some suspense heading into the decision.
Memphis was once though to be a threat, but Penny Hardaway actually canceled a visit to see Clarke this week, indicating that he knows the Tigers are out of the running.
Boston College in the local school for the Massachusetts native, but I can’t remember the Eagles ever beating a blue blood for an elite recruit.
Texas Tech and UCLA have gotten virtually no attention in this recruitment other than being on his list.
Wherever Clarke chooses to go, he is expected to join the 2020 class once he gets some academic requirements finished. When that happens, it is anticipated that he will remain a top five prospect than any school would love to have.
What school do you think he will choose?
