Paolo Banchero has trimmed his list, and Kentucky made the cut.
Also making Banchero’s list of nine schools were the North Carolina Tar Heels, Duke Blue Devils, Tennessee Volunteers, Baylor Bears, Georgetown Hoyas, Memphis Tigers and Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Banchero, who is ranked No. 4 overall in 2021 by 247 Sports composite, has already lined up several official visits, including a trip to UK for the weekend of Big Blue Madness. He also has visit dates set for UNC, Duke, Tennessee and Gonzaga, and he also can take several unofficial visits to Washington since it’s so close for the Seattle native.
The 6-9 big man holds offers from all of these schools. The hometown Huskies had been viewed as the favorite, but Rivals recruiting guru Corey Evans recently flipped his pick from Washington to Kentucky.
Banchero recently announced he would remain in the 2021 class after mulling over a reclassification. But seeing as how he’ll take all five official visits this fall and winter, one has to think a move into 2020 is still a very real possibility.
As of now, Bancero doesn’t have a timeline for making his college decision, though you have to think it could come as early as the spring when he wraps up his visits.
