Matthew Cleveland has seen his stock make a big rise over the summer, and big-name schools are starting to take notice.
On June 19th, Cleveland was ranked 58th overall in the 2021 class by 247 Sports composite. Considering that there are tens of thousands of high school basketball players in the country, this is really good.
However, Cleveland decided to not settle, and as of September 9th, he is ranked 27th in the country. He has clearly put in some work this summer .and a lot of people are starting to take notice, including the Kentucky Wildcats.
UK was among a handful of schools that just took a visit to see Cleveland in action.

According to Cleveland’s 247 Sports recruiting timeline, it was assistant Joel Justus who visited him on Wednesday.
Cleveland is a tall shooting guard, standing at 6-6 and weighing in at 183 pounds. He currently holds 23 offers , including ones from the Florida State Seminoles, Louisville Cardinals, Florida Gators and Oklahoma Sooners among many others.
Considering his impressive jumping in the ranking, don’t be surprised if other blue bloods start to creep in as well, especially now that a school like UK is showing interest.
The real question is, will he score an offer from John Calipari and Kentucky? After seeing what he did over the summer I wouldn’t be surprised if one is being sent to him right now.
