The Kentucky Wildcats are set to host the Florida Gators on Saturday, but they’ll do so without one of the most successful quarterbacks in school history.
Terry Wilson, who is currently 12-3 as a starter at UK, is out for the rest of the season with a torn patellar tendon suffered in last week’s win over Eastern Michigan. While UK expects backup Sawyer Smith to keep the offense going, it’s still a major loss in terms of Wilson’s experience in the SEC and his leadership. He was also a big reason why UK went into Gainesville last year and ended the Gators’ winning streak over the Cats.
That’s why it’s special to see Lynn Bowden will honor Wilson this week by wearing his No. 3 jersey vs. Florida, according to Josh Moore of the Herald-Leader.
University of Kentucky wide receiver Lynn Bowden will wear Terry Wilson’s No. 3 during the Wildcats’ home game against Florida on Saturday, the school confirms to the LHL/Kentucky.com.

Nice gesture by Bowden. Betting he throws at least one pass in his boy’s number, too.
Regardless of what happens Saturday, it’s great seeing the Cats honoring their fallen leader in arguably the biggest game of the season.
