As the fall recruiting period heats up, Lance Ware remains one of the most likely recruits to ultimately become a Wildcat.
The four-star power forward out of New Jersey just got an in-home visit from John Calipari and Kenny Payne on Monday. Apparently, it went really well, as Evan Daniels just logged a prediction in favor of Kentucky for Ware.
And for what it’s worth, Ware just tweeted this:

The Wildcats now hold 87% of the predictions from 247 Sports and 100% from Rivals. The Michigan Wolverines were viewed as the biggest competition, and they just hosted the 6-9, 215-pound Ware for an official visit on Sept 6.
That’s likely part of why Calipari and Payne was so quick to visit Ware once the fall period began Monday right after the Michigan visit ended. They wanted to make sure Kentucky stayed ahead in this recruitment, and it now appears it’s only a matter of time until he makes his decision.
Ware is expected to decide this fall, and he has two scheduled visits coming up with PRovidence (Sept. 13) and Miami (Sept. 27). Perhaps he’ll officially visit Kentucky in early October, maybe even for Big Blue Madness.
It’s possible Ware commits without visiting officially. He took an unofficial visit last year for Big Blue Madness. Perhaps he could make a decision at any moment...
