The 2019 college football season is less than a month away, and the oddsmakers and experts are busy making predictions.

Many don’t believe the Kentucky Wildcats can duplicate the success they had in 2018 when they won 10 games and took down college football powerhouse Penn State in the Citrus Bowl.

Now, we have an idea of what the oddsmakers are thinking of Kentucky when matching them up with two of the teams they defeated a season ago. Phil Steele shared the College Football Superbook from Vegas, who revealed early lines for some of the 2019 season’s biggest games.

Among those were Kentucky’s SEC opener with the Florida Gators at Kroger Field and rivalry week matchup with the Louisville Cardinals.

The early line for Kentucky’s matchup with Florida doesn’t give the Cats a great chance to win their second straight against the Gators. Florida is an early nine-point favorite to defeat the Cats on their home field. However, the Wildcats won two games last year as an underdog by nine or more points, including the win in Gainesville, so they’re no strangers to pulling a big upset.

Kentucky’s odds are the vice versa for their matchup with Louisville, as the early line has the Cats as nine-point favorites to win their second straight over the Cardinals.

These lines don’t mean too much, but it’s clear that Vegas isn’t in love with Kentucky entering 2019.
