For the fans who are anxious to see the Kentucky-Indiana series brought back, there may be a glimmer of hope.
Jeff Rabjohns, an Indiana reporter, tweeted yesterday that IU coach Archie Miller says a matchup against Kentucky is on the table.
Indiana-Kentucky playing again is “on the table,” Archie Miller said. Said he understands the great atmospheres, half red, half blue, etc. Mentioned there are contractual obligations, 20-game Big Ten schedule, etc., but is something “we’re all hopeful will be worked out.” #iubb

It’s been an idea that with Archie Miller at IU, the series could renew but Calipari has been adamant that the games be played at neutral sights while Indiana seems unwilling to budge on making the series a home-and-home.
The location has been the major sticking point between the two programs, and neither seem to be willing to change their stance. If this series is going to return, either Cal or IU will have to give up their stance, which is difficult to envision.
Archie would be viewed very highly by the Hoosiers fan base if he can help get a home-and-home series started, so it may just be a lot of wishful thinking that this series will come back, or maybe he knows something we don’t.
Although many in the BBN, particularly those who grew up during the peak of the UK-IU rivalry, want to see this series be brought back, I’m not going to hold my breath on it happening soon. It is however, something to at least keep an eye on.
