4-star DB Joel Williams responds to Kelvin Joseph picking UK; plans to visit

Kelvin Joseph’s commitment continues to make waves for Kentucky.

Mark Stoops and Kentucky secured a massive transfer when former LSU tigers DB Kelvin Joseph chose to play for the Wildcats in 2020 this week.

Joseph’s commitment may now have repercussions for UK’s 2020 class, as four-star DB Joel Williams responded to Joseph’s news on Twitter.

Williams is a 6-1, 190-pound recruit out of Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge (LA). He’s a four-star prospect with crystal ball predictions for Alabama, Florida and LSU among other offers.

It’s safe to assume Williams and Joseph have some connection from back in Louisiana. Kentucky has offered Williams and is on his list, but Alabama has been viewed as the significant favorite as of late. At Rivals, there have been nine-straight predictions for the Crimson Tide to ultimately land Williams.

But with Joseph now in Lexington, his connection with Williams could go a long way in his recruitment.

Williams is scheduled to commit on September 9th, but his tweet suggests he will be on campus for a visit for the Arkansas game on October 12th.

Joseph will be the fourth highest rated recruit to ever suit up for the blue and white’s football program, and he will join a defense that will be prepared to do big things come a year from now.

If Joseph can have as much pull on other players as he may have on Williams, they will have the chance to add talent to be even better. He hasn’t even been a Wildcat for a full week yet and won’t officially suit up for another year, but Joseph’s impact has already stretched beyond the field for Kentucky.
