TMZ leaks audio of DeMarcus Cousins allegedly threatening to shoot ex-girlfriend

Former Kentucky center DeMarcus Cousins is facing allegations from his ex-girlfriend, Christy West, stating that the four-time NBA All-Star threatened to shoot her last week.

Tuesday, TMZ released recorded audio from a phone call on August 23rd, in which Cousins is allegedly asking West to have his son for his wedding that took place this past weekend.

When West denies this request, the person alleged to be Cousins says “I’m gonna make sure I put a bullet in your f–king head.”

West submitted this audio to the Mobile police department in Mobile, Alabama.

After spending the 2018-2019 season with the Golden State Warriors, Cousins signed with the Los Angeles Lakers this off-season. He suffered a torn ACL however and will likely miss the entire 2019-20 season. It was the third major injury for Cousins in the last three years.
