August has arrived, and with it will come the return of college football.
In just over three weeks, Florida and Miami kick off the season in Week 0 of the new season before everyone is in action the following week.
Until then, we’re left with the first Coaches Top 25 Poll o 2019, which was unveiled on Thursday.
To no surprise, Clemson and Alabama made up the top spots. They’re the consensus top two teams in every major preseason ranking, though they’ve alternated for the top spot. The first Coaches Poll has Clemson on top.
As for the Kentucky Wildcats, they haven’t gotten much preseason love, especially in top 25 projections, so it’s no surprise to see them not ranked in this poll, though they did receive the sixth-most votes of any non-top 25 team.
