In a recent Rivals roundtable discussion, recruiting analysts Eric Bossi, Dan McDonald, and Russ Wood made some predictions for some Kentucky Wildcats 2020 targets, and they’re not good news.
When asked which five-stars they think will be the next to commit in the class of 2020, both Sharife Cooper and N’Faly Dante were mentioned.
Dan McDonald thinks that Cooper will be the next five-star to pop, committing to the Auburn Tigers and Bruce Pearl. At one point Cooper was thought to be down to Kentucky and Auburn, but with Kentucky seemingly focusing more on Daishen Nix, Cooper to Auburn is looking highly probable right now.
Russ Wood thinks the next to commit will be N’Faly Dante, who is just coming off an official visit to Lexington. Wood thinks Dante will pick the Oregon Ducks, although he did not give any clarification as to why, other than Oregon has been recruiting him for two years and Dante left Lexington without pledging his commitment to Kentucky.
Although I do think Dante is leaning more Kentucky than people realize, we (probably) won’t know anything about Dante and a potential reclassification until after he participates in the Peach Jam.
As for Bossi, he mentioned how Cade Cunningham to Oklahoma State isn’t even worth making a prediction on since it already seems highly likely to happen, so he predicted five-star wing Ziaire Williams to North Carolina. Williams is a top-10 player who Kentucky has yet to show interesting, perhaps because the Tar Heels are already in great shape for him.
Of all the names mentioned above, do you think any of them will end up a Wildcat?
