Rajon Rondo is staying in LA.

According to Woj, Rondo is signing a new two-year deal to remain with the Lakers. Because the Lakers recently traded Lonzo Ball in the package to acquire Anthony Davis, Rondo will likely be the team’s starting point guard moving forward.

This news came just minutes after the Lakers agreed to a one-year deal with the DeMarcus Cousins. That means three former Kentucky Wildcats will be part of the Lakeshow next season.

Rondo signed a one-year deal with the Lakers last season following a one-year stint with the New Orleans Pelicans, where he teamed up with Davis and Cousins.

The Lakers figure to be one of the NBA’s top title contenders next season, and these next two years may be Rondo’s last real chance to win his second NBA title.
