The Kentucky Wildcats have issued another scholarship offer in the Class of 2021.
On Friday, UK offered five-star guard Devin Askew, according to Corey Evans of Rivals.
Askew has been playing on the AAU circuit with Jalen Green, one of UK’s top targets in the Class of 2020, so UK’s staff has seen plenty of him over the summer.
A 6-3, 210-pound guard out of Mater Dei High School in California, Askew is ranked 16th nationally by ESPN, 18th by Rivals and 17th by 247 Sports. ESPN and Rivals list him as a point guard vs. 247 Sports tabbing him as a combo guard.
Askew already holds offers from the Kansas Jayhawks, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Arizona Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Florida Gators and Oregon Ducks among others. Louisville actually has one prediction both at 247 Sports and Rivals.
This is the fourth offer UK has issued in 2021. Jonathan Kuminga, Terrence Clarke and Paolo Banchero are the other three.
However, Askew has been mentioned as a reclassification candidate. Perhaps he could be an option at point guard for 2020 if other recruits land elsewhere.
