It continues to look like John Wall will miss the entire 2019-20 NBA season.
At the end of December, it was reported that Wall would be having season-ending heel surgery. However, the All-Star guard would later tear his Achilles in an accident at his home and later have surgery to repair the damage.
The expectation was Wall would miss all of 2019-20, and that’s still still the case, according to Washington Wizards owner Ted Leonsis.
Ted Leonsis says John Wall “probably won’t play” next year at all. They are taking it slow with his Achilles rehab hoping to get it right.

Wall is out of his walking boot but is still a few weeks away from just being able to jog.
Assuming Wall misses most, if not all of next season, it will be the fourth time in his career that he has played less than 50 games in a season.
One thing Wall has going for him is he’s only 28 (turns 29 in September), so he’s still got several years left in the tank if he can just get healthy.
Here’s to hoping for a speedy recovery for Wall.
