Cam’Ron Fletcher continues to trend toward a fall decision, and he just took the next step in his recruitment.

On Tuesday, the four-star wing out of Missouri announced his final five: The Kentucky Wildcats, Michigan State Spartans, Missouri Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels and Alabama Crimson Tide.

Fletcher, ranked 36th overall in 2020 by 247 Sports Composite, has offers from all five finalists, the most recent being from Kentucky, who offered him during a recent unofficial visit to Lexington. He’s also taken an official visit to Michigan State and previously said he hopes to pick a school before his senior season.

The 6-6, 195-pound small forward from St. Louis is ranked as a four-star by all major recruiting services. As of now, only the Spartans and Tigers are getting predictions in his 247 Sports crystal ball. However, Jake Weingarten recently logged a Kentucky prediction over at Rivals.

It will be interesting to see if John Calipari is willing to take a commitment from Fletcher if he does decide this fall. The Wildcats are in great shape with their top remaining wing target in BJ Boston. They’re also strongly in the mix for guards like Jalen Green, DJ Steward and Josh Christopher, who could play the 2 or 3 spots in college.

Fletcher is more than good enough to play at Kentucky, but this could turn into a numbers game depending on what those other recruits do this fall. Boston may decide during the early signing period, but Christopher and Green are trending toward spring decisions. It’s unclear when Steward could decide.
