Good morning Big Blue Nation!
If you’re like me, Saturdays in the summer can be nice, but it also leaves an itch for the return of college football Saturdays.
Rest assured, we’re not far from seeing the Kentucky Wildcats take the field to open up the 2019 campaign.
Today makes seven weeks until the Cats kick things off against Toledo at noon on Aug. 31. Of course, the Wildcats are coming off of a historic 10-win season last year and the players and coaching staff are looking for another successful season this year to show that last year’s record was no fluke.
Kentucky lost a lot of talent, as evidenced by the NFL Draft, but the roster still boasts a lot of talent returning from last year in addition to some talented younger players who will most certainly be hungry to shine with an expanded role.
There are still plenty of tickets available, so make sure you get out to Kroger Field on Aug. 31 to cheer on the Cats to victory and get the 2019 season started with a victory!
