This is something we all want to see, and it’s definitely something that Jared Lorenzen deserves.
Kentucky’s quarterback Terry Wilson went to social media after the passing of Jared Lorenzen, like many current and former Wildcats, and offered his condolences. Then, he tweeted an idea that has sparked a big conversation within Big Blue Nation.
Rock the deuce deuce for the first game ?

We can all agree that it would be such an awesome tribute to one of the greatest football Wildcats to ever play.
Mark Stoops is all for it.
“He reached out to me right after it happened and my initial thought was, that’s a great idea,” Stoops told Eli Ghen of WLEX-18. “Just having him possibly wearing that jersey in the opener, and we’ll talk about that.”
No matter what capacity, Stoops and Kentucky Football plan to honor Jared Lorenzen throughout the season.
“I did talk to the family and told them definitely our thoughts and prayers are with them and in some way, shape or form we will recognize him and honor him.”
Lorenzen will forever be remembered as one of the greatest players and individual that has come through the University of Kentucky.
Kentucky opens up their season at home against Toledo on August 31st. I’m sure Terry will be allowed to rock No. 22 for that game, and we’ll see what else the Cats have in store to honor one of the all time greats.
