Brandon ‘BJ’ Boston is one of Kentucky’s top targets in 2020, and he’ll be visiting Lexington very soon.
According to Rivals reporter Corey Evans, Boston will take an official visit to Kentucky starting July 25th. In addition, Boston is now considering the Oregon Ducks. He previously cut his list to the Duke Blue Devils, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators and Wildcats.
The fact that Boston is beginning official visits this soon tells me he’s keeping his options open, whether it means signing in the early or late signing period. He initially planned to sign early, then planned to wait until the spring.
Either way, he’s one of UK’s top targets, and an early decision may be good for the Wildcats in the end as they look to secure their first 2020 pledge.
Boston recently won MVP honors at the Nike EYBL in Dallas, and he’s now competing at the Peach Jam. He’s ranked as high as No. 7 overall in the 2020 class by ESPN.
The 6-7, 185-pound Boston can play the wing or shooting guard, and Kentucky needs help at both spots for 2020 with Tyrese Maxey and Kahlil Whitney likely being one and dones.
