Lynn Bowden among 3 Wildcats attending SEC Media Days

Football is coming soon.

Jason Marcum - Sea of Blue

You know the college football season is closing in fast when the SEC holds its annual Media Days in Birmingham, Alabama.

This year, the Kentucky Wildcats will send senior guard Logan Stenberg, senior linebacker Kash Daniel and junior wide receiver/returner Lynn Bowden to Birmingham. They’ll be accompanied by head coach Mark Stoops.

Stenberg, who has been Kentucky’s full-time left guard for the last two seasons, has already picked up one preseason All-American honor. A big senior season could lead to his name being called in the early rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Daniel, who was Kentucky’s starting middle linebacker last season, will look to anchor a defense that lost a wealth of starters to graduation. He’s also the biggest character on Kentucky’s roster, so getting to hear him speak will be a treat.

Bowden, who is one of the nation’s most dynamic players with the ball in his hands, may also be playing his final season in Lexington. He’s certainly got the potential to have a big junior year and have his name called early in the 2019 draft, and he’ll be relied on heavily to carry Kentucky’s passing game in addition to being one of the nation’s best returners on special teams.

Kentucky’s turn for SEC Media Days will be July 18th.
