For the second time today, Kentucky has picked up a four-star commitment.
This time, it’s from defensive end Samuel Anaele, who committed to Kentucky on Monday, according to Justin Rowland. It came just hours after four-star wide receiver Kalil Branham picked the Wildcats.
The 6-4, 247-pound lineman plays for Miami Carol City High School in Florida. He’s ranked 160th nationally by 247 Sports Composite, which measures all of the recruiting rankings.
Anaele, who was previously committed to Miami, held offers from the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines and Oregon Ducks among others. He’s a top-100 recruit (96th overall) at Rivals who recently decommitted from the Hurricanes before ultimately committing to Mark Stoops’ program.
Anaele becomes Kentucky’s second-best recruit in the 2020 class, trailing only five-star lineman Justin Rogers.
As you can imagine, this class is now rising up the team recruiting rankings for 2020, as it now ranks 22nd at 247 Sports Composite.
