John Young will be making his presence felt on campus even sooner than most fans thought.
The four-star offensive lineman plans to make his way to Lexington in the fall semester, according to Justin Rowland of Rivals.
Obviously, arriving early will give him a leg up on transitioning into big-time SEC football, not to mention give him a better chance of having a big role in his first year at UK.
Young is ranked as the 24th best offensive tackle in America by Rivals, but he will still have a substantial learning curve moving into Division I from Louisville Christian Academy.
If you’ve followed John Young at all, then you know that he is all in on wearing Kentucky Blue, so the move to enroll early comes as no surprise. He has even been one of the biggest recruiters for his class.
The culture of Kentucky Football has already seen a major shift over the last few years, but local players like John Young will do nothing but accelerate that even further.
