The Cats are still in the hunt.

Former Kentucky Football commit Richie Leonard is moving toward the end of his recruitment.

Hopefully, it’s for good this time.

The Class of 2020 offensive lineman just announced his top seven schools: The Kentucky, Wildcats, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes, Tennessee Volunteers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and UCF Knights.

As many of you may remember, Richie had committed to Kentucky in late 2018, only to decommit this past April after Florida, Florida State and Miami turned up the heat in recruiting.

Richie currently plays high school football in the state of Florida, one of the most competitive markets for the sport. He’s a three-star recruit and is the 76th ranked player in the state. Rivals has several predictions for Florida and Florida State, while 247 Sports has the Noles getting most of the picks now.

Even though he decommitted, Kentucky clearly has a shot at ultimately signing the big man. In fact, Richie is making his official visit to UK next week and plans to make a final decision on July 5th, his mother's birthday. The only other visit scheduled before he decides is Tennessee later in June.

This would be another big get for Kentucky’s 2020 class, which is shaping up to be one of the best classes in school history. If they manage to get Leonard back, it would really boost their morale.
