Friday Quickies: Early Bracketology Edition

Cats pick up a 2 seed in ESPN Bracketology

tourney bracket (3)

In case you were thinking about the NCAA Tournament next year, you’re in luck.

The new ESPN Bracketology has been released, aiming to project the field for the NCAA Tournament next season and Joe Lunardi gives Kentucky a 2 seed.

The Cats miss out on getting in the 1 line on any projection behind Michigan State, Kansas, Duke and UNC. That’s a drop from where they were once on the 1 line.

This team could be a legitimate Final Four contender and among the best in the country next year. I would expect to see them on the 1 or 2 line come March.

I don’t think that I have to explain why it’s silly to have bracketology released this early, but here we are because it draws attention and people will read it.

If you’re so inclined to read the projection for next year’s tourney, you can do so here.
