Despite basketball season being a long way away, rosters are changing fast with transfers filling out teams’ roster.
As we all know, Kerry Blackshear didn’t pick to play for the Kentucky Wildcats and is instead on his way to play for Mike White and the Florida Gators.
Yes, it is June, but Joe Lunardi is still at it with his early Bracketology predictions for this upcoming season.
So, where does Lunardi have the Cats?
Well, on May 16th Lunardi had the Cats as a 1 seed in the South Region with Louisville as their 2 seed.
However, he just released an updated bracket with everyone’s rosters basically set now. Kentucky has fell to a 2 seed in the South Region with the Duke Blue Devils as the 1 seed.
As for Florida, winning the Kerry Blackshear battle moved them from a 7 seed in May up now to a 3 seed.
As it stands, here are the teams the Cats would have to take down to reach a Final Four.
- Round of 64: Wright State Raiders
- Round of 32: VCU Rams
- Sweet 16: Baylor Bears
- Elite 8: Duke Blue Devils
If this is the path we have, can we just skip ahead to March?
We have no clue how the upcoming season is going to shape up and who will emerge as the best teams.
But I do know that in June, I like my team, and I fully expect to be a 1 or 2 seed when we get to March.
