If the Kentucky Wildcats miss out on Kerry Blackshear, there’s a small chance they could have a potential big-man option in N’Faly Dante.
Currently set to be a member of the 2020 recruiting class, Dante has flirted with the idea of reclassifying to 2019. Now, he’ll be visiting Kentucky this week, according to Tipton Edits.

In a recent interview with the Des Moines Register, Dante did speak about a potential reclassification, but it’s not a done deal.
“Maybe. I don’t know. I’m not trying to (reclassify), but if I can do it, I might do it,” Dante said when asked about reclassifying.
In addition to talking about potentially reclassifying, Dante gave an update on the schools in the mix. The Wichita big man listed Iowa State, Kentucky, Oregon, Michigan State and Tennessee as those in the mix.
The first takeaway is that Dante did not mention will Wade and the LSU Tigers. According to 247 Sports’ crystal ball, the Tigers are the favorites for Dante at 43% with Oregon checking in at 29% and Kentucky at 14%.
Also of note was that Dante is showing significant interest in the Iowa State Cyclones. Besides Kansas, Iowa State is the closest school to home for 2020’s 11th-ranked prospect.
Dante told the Des Moines Register that he hopes to take an official visit to Iowa State this summer and that they were among the most involved in his recruitment.
This is now a major storyline to watch for Kentucky this summer.
