Dallas Walker commits to Texas A&M over Kentucky

The Cats miss out on this four-star lineman.

Four-star defensive tackle Dallas Walker has committed to the Texas A&M Aggies.

Fresh off his visit to Lexington just two weeks ago, Walker decided today was the day he’d make his college announcement. He made his decision at the Rivals Five Star camp taking place in Atlanta this week.

Kentucky was hopeful of being the pick, but the Aggies ultimately won out for Walker’s services. His only other official visit was to Texas A&M. His three final schools were Kentucky, Texas A&M and Auburn.

Walker is a 6-4, 300-pound grown man on the frontlines and is listed as the No. 20 defensive tackle in the country by Rivals and the No. 243 player overall.

Walker spoke highly about his visit to Kentucky a couple weeks ago, saying he enjoyed chatting with the coaching staff and enjoyed the environment, the facilities, and the players. He also spoke highly of Kentucky trending in the right path with their recent 10-win season and development of players.

Getting Walker would have been a great way to overcome the recent loss of four-star defensive tackle Lamar Goods, who flipped to Florida last week. alas, Mark Stoops and his staff will have to look elsewhere for defensive line help.
