The Kentucky Wildcats had their best season since the 70’s and the best season of my lifetime in winning 10 games in 2018.
Since the remarkable season ended, the Cats have had a ton of momentum going in their favor on the recruiting side of things landing numerous commits from 4-star recruits and even a 5-star.
Yet despite all the positives going for the program, they still get little respect from the national media. In their eyes, the Cats are expected to have a down year after losing a large amount of talent.
In Athlonsports.com’s rankings, they have Kentucky sitting at No. 48 going into the season.
“Kentucky was the SEC’s biggest surprise in 2018. However, another 10-win campaign will hinge on how well this team replaces running back Benny Snell and edge rusher Josh Allen. Additionally, coach Mark Stoops needs more production out of quarterback Terry Wilson”
With all the national doubt with UK about this upcoming season, Pro Football Focus had a different idea about where the Cats stand:
