The top ranked point guard in the class of 2020 is wanting to meet with John Calipari.
Daishen Nix, a 6-5 point guard from Las Vegas, wants to meet with the head coach of one his dream schools growing up; The Kentucky Wildcats.
In an interview with KSR’s Jack Pilgrim, Nix said that he would love to meet with Coach Cal because Kentucky is a dream school of his:
“I really want to meet Coach Cal [in person],” Nix said. “Because growing up, watching all the top schools, they were my dream schools. It was pretty good that I got to finally talk to him.”
After a May 2nd visit from Joel Justus, who watched one of Nix’s practices, Nix was surprised when Kentucky walked in the building.
Nix has been touted as the best passing guard in the class of 2020 and his new ranking shows just that. Nix was bumped up to the No. 10 overall player and the No. 1 point guard in 2020 at 247 Sports after competing in the NBPA Top 100 camp this week.
Not sure there's a better passer in high school basketball than Daishen Nix. His vision, creativity & ability to pass off the live dribble has been impressive here at NBPA Top 100 Camp.

Nix is in no hurry to make his college decision, but says that when the time comes, he’ll be looking at education and the type of system that the program runs, two very positive signs for Calipari and UK.
