Three Kentucky Wildcats have been invited to the green room of the NBA Draft.
Tyler Herro, PJ Washington, and now Keldon Johnson have received invites to the green room of next week’s draft. Washington and Herro had previously received invites, while Evan Daniels confirmed today that Johnson has an invite.
A total of 20 players were invited to the green room for last year’s draft, so one would think the NBA will get to around that number for 2019.
And as you can imagine, prospects who get these invites are very likely to be selected in the first round. That’s pretty much a given at this point for Herro and Washington, who have been projected as lottery picks in various mock drafts.
Johnson ‘should’ hear his name called in Round 1, but as someone projected to go as late as the mid-20s, he’s not quite the first-round lock that his teammates are. Getting the green room invite is obviously a good sign that he won’t be waiting too long to hear his name called on Draft Night.
