Kentucky offers top-5 recruit Terrence Clarke

Clarke is one of the best in all of high school hoops.

With the 2019 recruiting cycle winding down and the 2020 cycle reving up, Kentucky has issued out another offer to a 2021 recruit.

According to Jake Weingarten, five-star wing Terrence Clarke has picked up a scholarship offers from the Wildcats.

Clarke was someone we already knew Kentucky was in hot pursuit of, as they visited the top-five recruit in December and again in April. He also made an unofficial visit to Kentucky on Oct. 12

Clarke, who plays at Brewster Academy in Boston (MA), is a 6-6 wing that is ranked as the No. 2 player in the country in 2021, according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings (247 and ESPN have him at No. 3 while Rivals has him at No. 2).

This is actually the first (legit) blue-blood offer for Clarke, who also holds offers from the Indiana Hoosiers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Iowa Hawkeyes, UConn Huskies and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets among others.

Clarke joins Jonathan Kuminga as Class of 2021 recruits with offers from the Wildcats. It’s been a rarity in the past for John Calipari to offer recruits that were two classes away from being on a college campus. But after their recent recruiting struggles, it’s good to see Calipari is getting ahead of the curve now rather than playing catch up later.

Check out some highlights of Clarke in action at the most recent Nike EYBL session:
