Once again, the Kentucky Wildcats are the most valuable college basketball team in the country, taking the title for the third straight year.
Professor Ryan Brewer from IUPU-Columbus does this study each year and takes into account revenues, expenses, risk, growth and other factors to determine the most valuable team.
He determined that Kentucky Basketball is worth $334.2 million, which is 35.5% higher than last year.
Last year, the sport declined 7.4%, which Brewer believed was due to all the FBI investigations that took place and put a dark shadow over the sport.
However, the sports value is up 9.3% this year, which Brewer believes is because of Zion Williamson and the hype that he brought to college basketball this season.
The Louisville Cardinals came in at No. 3, making Kentucky the only state to have two universities in the top five.
