Tavin Richardson transferring to Marshall

The veteran wide receiver has found a new home.

We learned earlier this offseason that the Kentucky Wildcats were losing one of their veteran wide receivers. Tavin Richardson will be transferring to Marshall to finish out his college career.

Richardson entered the NCAA transfer portal in January and tweeted last night that he found a new home.

Marshall’s Rivals site, Herd Nation, is reporting that the commitment is official, and he has since added “Marshall University Commit” to his bio.

Over the course of three seasons in Lexington, Richardson caught 49 passes for 645 yards and one touchdown. The former three-star wideout had big expectations going into last season, but he failed to meet them.

Richardson was expected to make a big jump in 2018, but he wasn’t able to do so. Instead, he lost his starting position and never caught back up.

Richardson will be eligible to play right away and hopefully find what he was looking for in his next home.
