If you’re a Kentucky Wildcats fan and still keeping up with the Final Four, kudos to you. A lot of the BBN has checked out after the Wildcats lost in the Elite Eight.
But if you caught the ending of the Auburn Tigers vs Virginia Cavaliers game, hoooo boy is there some discussions to be had.
Auburn lost on a controversial foul call on Kyle Guy with 0.6 seconds left on the clock. Guy knocked down all three free throws and Virginia saved themselves from a tremendous choke job.
Anyway, Twitter was on fire after that happened. Here’s what they had to say:

It’s definitely a foul. But man.
— Kyle Tucker (@KyleTucker_ATH) April 7, 2019
Kyle Guy kicked his feet out. That’s not a foul
— Ian Teasley (@ianteasley) April 7, 2019
I hate this for Auburn. Watching these free throws is like watching a crash in slow motion.

Nothing like your national semifinal being decided by controversial officiating
— Evan Hatter (@ehatt493) April 7, 2019
hey where have I seen that before
Well, that certainly won't be a controversial call at all

Auburn fans pelt the refs with objects as they run off the floor right by their fan section. Virginia wins 63-62.

What a brutal loss for Auburn....one of the worst I can ever remember

Omg everyone thought Auburn won. Trees were rolled. And now it’s awkward pic.twitter.com/xMoGUG28XG

Auburn fans roll Toomer's Corner and chant S-E-C, not having realized they called a foul and Virginia won the game pic.twitter.com/l4L2WlpbxK

Question: if the foul called for Virginia on the last shot was about being able to land, which yes it was a foul, why was the last shot for auburn also not considered a foul? Watching it it seemed like he couldn’t land after shooting either
— Brad Calipari (@bradcalipari) April 7, 2019
Virginia coach Tony Bennett: “I do feel bad for Auburn. But I feel better for us right now.”
— Brian Hamilton (@_Brian_Hamilton) April 7, 2019
he wasnt even close to missing a single one of those free throws
— Rob Perez (@WorldWideWob) April 7, 2019
Inconsistency in officiating going to be death of college basketball. If that was foul against Auburn then what happened to Kentucky at end of regulation in Elite Eight was a felony. Varies that wildly from crew to crew inexcusable.
— Darrell Bird (@DarrellBird) April 7, 2019
If Charles Barkley says it was a foul then end of story. His heart just got broken and calls it right.
— CAMERON MILLS (@CameronMillz) April 7, 2019
And to make matters worse, Virginia appeared to double-dribble on that same possession
Did the refs miss one? #MarchMadness pic.twitter.com/WDet9obKZV

Wow... #finalfour2019
— Karl-Anthony Towns (@KarlTowns) April 7, 2019
I thought living down last week’s game was gonna be rough. My God that’s so much worse though, Auburn.
— Jason Marcum (@marcum89) April 7, 2019
I wanted an Auburn v. Tech final, but you’re crazy if you don’t think that was a foul. Also think they should be able to advance the ball in college basketball ♂️

Wow.

An Auburn fan next to me poured beer on his head thinking they won.

Auburn’s Samir Doughty, who was called for the foul at the end of the game, had to answer the media’s questions. But the refs who missed the double dribble do not have to answer questions about missing a call that changed the outcome of a game. Is that fair? https://t.co/EvKWEAjuzo

College officiating is pure garbage.

Referees gonna... not referee. But they will when they feel like it https://t.co/jmLIWWCXoI

Man, that must suck. pic.twitter.com/8xg6sVO4am
In college football dozens of teams get to end their season on a high note. College basketball rips the heart out of all but one.
