There’s arguably no better NBA pipeline than the University of Kentucky.
Since John Calipari took over as head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats in 2009, 37 Cats have been selected in the NBA Draft.
The 2019 NBA Draft promises to again see more Wildcats drafted, but the question, of course, is how many?
That answer will depend on which Wildcats chose to return to school and which feel they are ready to go pro.
It is a guarantee grad transfer Reid Travis will have his name in the draft, but which Cats will join him?
In all likelihood, it’ll be some combination of PJ Washington, Keldon Johnson, Tyler Herro, and Ashton Hagans.
Coming off a monster sophomore season Washington is nearly a lock to leave. Of the three freshmen, Johnson is the most likely to, but Herro may very well join him as well. In the latest ESPN mock draft, he is projected as the 20th overall pick going to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The biggest wildcard is Hagans, who had a hot and cold freshman season. He has desired to be one and done, but many believe he should return to school.
With all this being said how many 2018-19 Wildcats do you see entering the upcoming NBA Draft? Have your voice heard by answering in the poll below or in the comments section!
