For the second straight day, Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow are rolling the dice.
After landing four-star offensive tackle John Young yesterday, the Kentucky Wildcats, with his help, landed another commitment this evening in three-star cornerback Andru Phillips.

Phillips originally set a date of July 8th to choose between Kentucky, Louisville, NC State, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech but made the decision early as the hype of the 2020 class being one of UK’s best ever continues to build.
The cornerback will come to Lexington from Mauldin, South Carolina where he’s rated as the states 11th best prospect for 2020 and ranks 57th among corners in the entire nation according to 247 sports.
With Kentucky relying on an extremely inexperienced secondary in 2019 due to the loss of several starters such as Derrick Baity and Lonnie Johnson Jr, adding bodies for the future is crucial.
Phillips brings just that and could wind up making an immediate impact upon arrival in 2020.
