Tonight is the first night of the NFL Draft and Nashville is ready to host the party.
For Kentucky, Josh Allen will be a definite first rounder and is expected to be a top 5 selection. The question now is where does he go? Allen has been mocked to the 49ers (#2), the Jets (#3), and the Raiders (#4).
All have a need for him, but it will be interesting to see where he goes on this monumental night. I would bet at least one of the teams who passes on him ends up heavily regretting it down the road.
Along with Allen, cornerback Lonnie Johnson has been creeping up some mock drafts after performing really well in workouts, to the point where some have been projecting him as a late first round pick. It would be huge for Johnson to land in the first round and quite the turnaround for him, coming from junior college to working his way into being a starting corner for the Wildcats.
He probably still lands in the second round, but we are certainly rooting for a first round selection for him tonight.
The rest of the former Cats will likely be waiting after Day 1 to hear their names called, but the next few days should be exciting to see where the former Cats land.
