John Calipari and his staff continue to work frantically on the recruiting trail this spring.
The latest elite talent Kentucky will see is BJ Boston today, according to Corey Evans.
Boston is a 6-6, 175-pound wing from Norcross (GA). He has shot up in the recruiting rankings for the 2020 class and currently sits at No. 11 in the 247 Sports rankings and No. 7 at both ESPN and Rivals. ESPN lists him as a small forward, while Rivals and 247 have him as a shooting guard.
Many schools have already offered Boston, including the Duke Blue Devils, Aubutn Tigers, Florida Gators, Kansas Jayhawks, UCLA Bruins, Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide, among others. Thanks to new NCAA rules allowing high school juniors to take official visits beginning in the fall, Boston has already visited Duke, Alabama, Auburn, and Florida.
Boston unofficially visited Kentucky in February. I would expect him to take an official visit at some point.
As it stands, it’s Auburn and Duke who are getting predictions at Rivals and 247 Sports, as it’s clear Kentucky has some work to do to jump ahead in this recruitment.
