Here we go!
After the recent news of Jemarl Baker entering the transfer portal, John Calipari is wasting no time in finding players to ensure next year’s roster is ready to compete for a title.
According to recruiting expert Evan Daniels, Johnny Juzang has set his official visit date for Monday, April 29th. As it stands, he is in the 2020 class, but it’s looking like he could reclassify for the 2019 class very soon.
A move to the 2019 recruiting class would be significant for Juzang, a standout at Studio City (Calif.) Harvard Westlake. While it’s not definitive, the source said it’s something that Juzang is giving serious thought to and is “honed in on it.”
Juzang is a five-star recruit hailing from Studio City (CA). He’s a 6-foot-6, 200 pound small forward that can score from just about anywhere on the court.
Right now, there are a few other big-name schools going after him. They are as follows: Virginia, Kansas, UCLA, and USC. He has officially visited Virginia and taken unofficial visits to Kansas and UCLA.
Again, Calipari knows exactly what he’s doing as he offered Johnny the day we found out Baker is leaving the school to transfer.
Now that Johnny has set his official visit to Kentucky, the Cats are firmly in the mix to snatch the versatile scorer from California.
