Monday Quickies: Junior Nick Richards(?) Edition

Basketball, baseball, softball, and a little bit of football.

Turns out, Nick Richards did enter the NBA Draft but didn’t announce it until today.

The deadline to declare for the NBA Draft has come and gone and Nick Richards isn’t going to test the waters.

So does that mean he’s coming back for a junior year with the Kentucky Wildcats? The only other option would be for him to transfer and I sincerely hope that will not happen. This team is going to need Richards, especially if EJ Montgomery gets affirmation that he will be a first round pick, although I find that to be not very likely to happen.

It would be refreshing to see a UK basketball player stay for more than two years. It doesn’t happen often. And I still think we haven’t seen the best of Nick Richards. Physically he has the tools to compete at a high level. But will the mentality ever catch up?

Tweets of the Day

The Celtics got the last laugh as they got the win and the sweep.

Last night’s episode of Game of Thrones was tense but my man Tormund brought the laughs.
