Kentucky’s roster situation is fluid to say the least.

UPDATE

And now Matthew Hurt has committed to Duke.

Recruiting has been up and down to say the least over the last few seasons, and it is starting to look like the the Kentucky Wildcats will miss out on some of the remaining players for 2019.

Eric Bossi, Corey Evans, and Dan McDonald of basketballrecruiting.rivals.com made their predictions for the remaining top recruits of 2019.

The first Kentucky target they discuss is Jaden McDaniels. He is down to Kentucky, Texas, San Diego State, UCLA and Washington.

However, all three of the experts predicted that he would ultimately end up picking Washington.

McDaniels is a big man that Kentucky really needs. As of right now, the roster is a little low on bigs especially with EJ Montgomery announcing he is testing the NBA waters. Hopefully, =Cal can make a final push and land the top-five prospect.

Matthew Hurt is the other Kentucky target that they made predictions for and with his decision coming later today, almost everyone including Bossi, Evans, and McDonald believe that he is going to be headed to Duke. This has seemingly been a done deal for several weeks now.

With both McDaniels and Hurt likely heading elsewhere, Cal and his staff will likely have to hit the grad transfer path in order to finish out the roster for 2019-20.

You can see the complete list of predictions they made including the non-Kentucky targets here, which include Cole Anthony, Precious Achiuwa and Trendon Watford. Some of them could end up with teams Kentucky will face next season.
