It’s interesting this news broke right after it was revealed that Jemarl Baker would transfer would leave Kentucky, who is down to three scholarship guards for next season. Perhap Juzang is a reclass candidate, though that’s complete speculation at this point.
The 6-7, 205-pound Juzang is actually listed as a small forward who is the 19th-ranked player in his class, according to ESPN. Other schools involved include the UCLA Bruins, Virginia Cavaliers, Oregon Ducks, USC Trojans, Kansas Jayhawks and Marquette Golden Eagles.
Juzang recently told Rivals.com that Kentucky has entered the mix, and he may visit Lexington.
“I may take an unofficial visit there in the spring. I like how they are up front about what they do. At the end of the day, I want to play in the pros, and they have the platform for it, and they are upfront about it. It is a place you can come in, and if that is your goal, they can help you do that, as long as you are willing to put the work in and fight for your spot. They have the blueprint if you want to do that.”
Juzang does not hold an offer from Kentucky, but that could come this week, as John Calipari tends to offer scholarships when visiting recruits or when they visit Kentucky.
