Beau Allen, a 6-2 QB prospect from Lexington, is nearing the end of his recruitment.
Allen told the Lexington Herald-Leader that he’ll be making his final decision in “around one month” after attending UK’s Spring Game.
The four-star pro style QB will spend that month making official visits to his finalists. First, he will visit Washington State, then Kentucky, and then he plans to take a visit to West Virginia at some point after that. Duke, Michigan State, and Penn State are finalists as well, but there is no news yet of when or if he will visit any within the month.
Washington and West Virginia may match his style of play better, but Mark Stoops has the luxury of recruiting Allen in his own backyard and has an ace up his sleeve with Allen’s former coach Mark Perry on his sideline.
In 2018, he posted 3,729 passing yards and 42 touchdowns on a 66.5% completion percentage at Lexington Catholic. He rushed for 747 yards as well. Per 247Sports, he’s the sixth ranked player in the state and has a 100% crystal ball prediction to the Wildcats.
There’s still a ways to go, but Kentucky appears to be in good shape for this in-state star.
