While everyone assumes Matthew Hurt is going to Duke, John Calipari was hoping to make one last impression.
After all, Hurt is one of the top remaining recruits in 2019, ranking as high as seventh overall by Rivals. It was going to be tough to sway him from Duke, but Calipari is no stranger to winning battles that were seemingly unwinnable.
However, it appears this battle was already won before Calipari could visit with Hurt on Sunday. As it turns out, the Hurt family shut his recruitment down, and they did not host Calipari for a visit today.

The Top 10 recruit is considering Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, and North Carolina.

Both Kentucky and Kansas were set to visit today, but Hurt decided he was through with visits and ready to focus on his Friday decision date. It would now be a major shock if he didn’t pick Duke.
Alas, Kentucky should have EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards back to join incoming grad transfer Nate Sestina. There’s also a chance Kentucky adds one more big man, whether it be Jaden McDaniels, N’Faly Dante (if he reclasses) or perhaps another grad transfer.
