With the college basketball season entering the postseason, the focus will soon turn to the recruiting trail, especially now that high school seasons are ending.
That also means we’ll soon see Kentucky recruits playing in high school all-star games. Among them will be Kentucky Wildcats commits Kahlil Whitney and Tyrese Maxey, who were both just named to the 2019 Jordan Brand Classic, which takes place April 20.
Whitney is a top-10 recruit out of Roselle, New Jersey and was just named a McDonald’s All-American last month. He has also been invited to partake in the Allen Iverson Roundball Classic.
Maxey, a top-10 recruit who hails from Garland, Texas, has also earned a spot in the McDonald’s All-American Game, as well as the Nike Hoops Summit.
Despite the great talent from Maxey and Whitney, Kentucky’s 2019 class still needs some major help, as it’s currently ranked No. 10 overall with just three commits, including Dontaie Allen.
The good news is Kentucky targets Keion Brooks and Jaden McDaniels were also invited to this event. Perhaps there will be some recruiting taking place, though Brooks will have made his commitment by then.
