Kentucky to visit Jalen Suggs

Suggs recently said he expects an offer from Kentucky.

The Kentucky Wildcats continue to keep their options open when it comes to Class of 2020 point guards.

John Calipari has already offered scholarships to Jeremy Roach and Sharife Cooper, two of the top 2020 point guards in most recruiting services. However, Roach has been trending toward Villanova, while Kentucky is thought to be in a two-horse race with Auburn for Cooper.

There’s also RJ Hampton, though it’s looking more and more like he’ll move into the 2019 class.

Then you’ve got Jalen Suggs, arguably the best of them all in 2020. Kentucky has shown interest in Suggs, who even said he expected an offer from the Wildcats in addition to Duke and Arizona. He’s also said he wants to play with 2020 forward Scottie Barnes, who is one of Kentucky’s top targets.

Now, Kentucky is planning to visit Suggs on Wednesday, according to Prep Hoops’ Ryan James:

Hailing from Minnehaha Academy in Minnesota, Suggs is now the No. 10 player in the 2020 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, in addition to being the second-best combo guard. However, Rivals and ESPN both classify him as a point guard.

Currently, the 6-5, 185-pounder has offers from the Florida Gators, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Kansas Jayhawks, UCLA Bruins and Clemson Tigers among many others.

While Suggs seems destined for a long and productive career on the hardwood, he is also a four-star quarterback recruit with offers from the Georgia Bulldogs, Ohio State Buckeyes and Nebraska Cornhuskers among others.
