It’s been a resurgent season for Matthew Mitchell and UK Hoops.
Now, they have their sights set on the 2019 SEC Tournament, where UK will be the 4 seed after finishing the regular season with a 24-6 record and 11-5 mark in SEC play.
That means the Cats get a double bye before playing in the quarterfinals Friday, March 8 at approx. 2:30 pm EST. This year’s tournament will take place at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. It marks the 10th time in Mitchell’s 12-year tenure that UK has finished in the top four of the SEC.
The Wildcats will face the winner of Wednesday’s first-round battle between 12 seed Ole Miss and 13 seed Florida, who will advance to play 5 seed Missouri in the second round Thursday.
All games of the 2019 SEC Tournament will be televised nationally with the first round, second round and quarterfinals on SEC Network. The semifinals will be on ESPNU and the championship game will be on ESPN2. You can watch games online using WatchESPN, the WatchESPN app and fuboTV.
